NEEDS IN THE CHURCH FAMILY AND COMMUNITY

Feeding the hungry: Volunteers are welcome as we prepare and serve up meals for our community!

Outdoor Volunteers: We have several projects in the works here at Midway. If you’re available to help Dennis out, come by during the week. You’ll get the added blessing of his company!

Rides to church: If you are interested in providing transportation, even once a month, for one or more of our homebound, please let Lori-Lee know.

COVID PROTOCOLS

We rejoice that we can now worship and sing without masks! For those who want to continue wearing masks for added protection, we encourage you to do so. As our communities recover from the impact of the pandemic, may the Body of Christ at Midway be known for our love for one another!

ON THE LIGHTER SIDE… Q: Why do people love hard-boiled eggs for breakfast? A: They’re so hard to beat.

Q: Why did it take the chicken so long to cross the road? A: There was no eggspress lane.

Q: Why did the egg regret being in an omelette? A: It wasn’t all it was cracked up to be.

DIGGING DEEPER…

How much do you remember? Fill in the blanks from the box below.

 Last week Pastor Brad Hill preached on Romans 9. In this chapter, the Apostle Paul expresses his deep love for Israel.

 The Apostle Paul also expresses a question that baffles him: How in the world is this dearly-loved nation still not following God?

 In spite of the fact that they have been given God’s covenant, his laws, his glory, and the Messiah, they continued to reject Him.

 They were striving to follow God on their own , trusting in themselves rather than God.

 Enter, the Gentiles, about whom God says: “those who were not my people, I will now call my people.”

 By God’s grace alone, we who had no “place at the table” have been invited to the banquet!

 When we surrender to Christ, we _______ our absolute unworthiness, and place our complete trust in the finished work of Christ on the cross as the only means of redemption. By grace alone!

 Pastor Brad explained that we are not chosen by God simply to have an ________destiny with Him. We are chosen to have a purpose NOW – to walk with Jesus NOW!
