Loving God, Loving One Another, Loving the World

The Care Ministry is a group of believers who by the power of the Holy Spirit, are seeking to show caring to the body of believers at Midway Covenant Church and beyond.

In effort to encourage their heart towards God, we prepare meals, send cards appropriate for the condition, and send flowers for memorials. We are attempting on-going telephone calls and visits to those who may need a little extra contact because of circumstance in their lives. We supervise the prayer chain.

In general, we try to show the love of Christ and by doing so, we are fulfilling the commandment to love one another, found in John 15: 12 & 13.

Prayer Chain

If you would like to be added to the email prayer chain, simply inform the church office, and we will be happy to add you.

If you would like to submit a prayer request for the prayer chain, you are welcome to call or e-mail the church office. In addition, you can submit prayer request on the registration card of the bulletin each Sunday. Unless confidential, the request will be put on the email prayer line and also taken before the Lord at the Tuesday staff meeting.

Stephen Ministry

Stephen Ministers help meet the needs of individuals who are…

  • hospitalized
  • bereaved
  • new church members
  • home-bound
  • in a spiritual crisis
  • terminally ill
  • in a job crisis
  • disabled
  • lonely
  • looking for a caring, Christian friend

“Stephen ministers are trained to empathetic, confidential listeners. MCCC has three Stephen Ministry Trainers who led six people through the 50 hours of training this year. Stephen Ministry is not for everyone, but if you have a heart for people, especially people who need someone to listen to them, Stephen Ministry training is a wonderful way to be equipped to serve one on one in the name of Christ.”
