Rev. Shaun Higgins

Pastor Shaun Higgins is originally from Tampa, Florida, where he attended elementary school through technical college. From there, he joined the United States Army, serving 8 years in various regions around the world, including two combat tours in Iraq. After concluding his time in the service, he pursued undergraduate studies in psychology and computer technology at Tarrant County College and University of Texas Arlington. In 2010, Pastor Shaun received his initial calling to the ministry, where he spent five years missioning in Senegal in hospitals and the prison system. It was there that he met his lovely wife Marie and they were married in 2013. After receiving confirmation of his call to the pastorate in 2016, Pastor Shaun and Marie relocated to the United States where he pursued his graduate studies in Theology and Christian Ministries. He attended Liberty University and earned His MDIV in 2019. Pastor Shaun began his ministry at Midway as the Children’s Ministries Director and later became the Associate Pastor. He was installed as Senior Pastor in January of 2021. Pastor Shaun is a visionary and has a heart for evangelism, discipleship, and community outreach. He possesses an unrelenting commitment to prayer. He enjoys camping, fishing, playing chess, and gardening, and he loves working with his hands.
