Highlights of Leadership Team Meeting October 1

  • We opened with sharing how the Spirit was working in our lives and then prayed for each other, the Church and our meeting.
  • Financial reports showed a continuation of both reduced giving and reduced spending.
  • Don Paige reported that the architectural plans are finalized, he is searching for sub-contractors, and hopes to have all documents needed for permits ready by November with hopes of starting construction in March.
  • We approved hiring a Nursery attendant (3hr/wk), who is currently Children’s Minister for our Marshall Island partner church.
  • We voted to discontinue the lease of the AA group.
  • Plans are moving forward with laying a slab on the edge of the north parking lot to hold the garbage dumpster.
  • Plans for a remodel of the sanctuary and narthex were presented.
  • We approved upgrading the sound system as the next urgent need.
  • We will have a new bookkeeper soon, also funded by a Covenant grant for one more year.
  • We are grateful the Worship Team was able to attend the Elevation Concert at Climate Pledge Arena last week.

Respectfully submitted,
Ruth Hill, Chair
