Entry at Midway Covenant

  • Tape marks will be on the front sidewalk to indicate 6’ social distancing.
  • For Sunday worship services, entry will ONLY be from the double front doors of the church. The doors will be propped open for touchless entry.
  • For handicapped people ONLY: the step-less north entry near the handicapped parking will be available to you; ring the new doorbell and an usher will escort you to the temperature taking and contact-tracing stations in the Narthex.
  • Please wear a face mask. It must be worn throughout your time in the church. Disposable masks will be available for those who arrive without wearing one.
  • A designated person will take the temperature, with a touchless forehead thermometer, of participants as they arrive. Anyone with a temperature of 100.4°F or higher will be directed to not participate and self-quarantine.
  • A designated person will complete the Contact Tracing Log, entering your name for the date, time and name of ministry in which you are participating (e.g. Sunday morning worship, July 26; Leadership Team meeting, July 28; Women’s Thursday Bible Study, July 30; etc.)
  • A cart, to be stored in the Office, will be located in the Narthex with hand-sanitizers, disinfectant wipes and tissues for your added protection.
  • Please practice physical distancing by staying six (6) feet away from each other, including in parking lot, and entrances to the building.
  • Please limit number of people in restrooms to two; this will be self-monitored. Disinfectant wipes will be available for your safety.

Your Safety During Sunday Morning Worship

  • The doors to the sanctuary will be propped open for touchless entry.
  • A fan will be positioned at the east exit of the Narthex, drawing air outward from the Narthex.
  • Both the east and the west front entrances to the sanctuary will be propped open throughout the service. Please do not enter at either door; enter only through the front double doors.
  • A fan will be positioned at the southeast emergency exit of the sanctuary, drawing air outward from the sanctuary.
  • White vinyl tape on a pew back will identify an approved seating option that will be 6’ from the next nearest option. Sit ONLY in designated areas.
  • To be in compliance with state requirements, musicians will wear masks at all times.
  • Speakers at the microphone will be allowed to remove their mask while speaking to support lip-reading for the hearing impaired.
  • On the first Sunday of the month, the pastor(s) will lead you in a contact-less communion service: disposable units containing a wafer and juice will be available on the communion table; each participant will come to the table, select their unit, and from their pew, follow the guidance of the officiant. A designated server will bring units to handicapped participants. Instructions for using the communion cups are here. Place used cup in communion cup holder on back of pew.
  • There will be a container for your offering; no offering plates will be passed.
  • Pew racks will be clear of material. Please bring your own Bible and writing tool.
  • Exiting following the service will be from back to front.
  • You will be encouraged to socialize outdoors rather than in the Narthex.
  • Fellowship, coffee and refreshments following the service will be suspended until further state restrictions are lifted.
  • Children’s ministry will be suspended until further state restrictions are lifted.
  • Surfaces will be disinfected by our custodian following each service.

For Your Safety During Small Group Gatherings

  • 6’ tables will be set up and remain set up in the Fellowship Hall with chairs 6’ apart and designated seating options marked on the table with colored vinyl tape.
