Love Offering for Jessica

If you’d like to express your gratitude for Jessica Garcia’s 6 years of ministry at Midway Covenant, there will be another opportunity to do so during the live-streamed service Sunday, Sunday, July 12. You can also send or drop off a gift to the office and it will be included, or click the link below.

Midway Covenant Readers

The Covenant Church was founded by people who gathered in homes to read the Bible and share reflections on what they read. Pastor Deb is convening a group based on this simple practice. Participants will read and discuss personal perspectives on the Scripture and what they hear it saying. We will start on July 14th, 2020 and meet on Zoom five Tuesday nights from 7pm – 8pm. Contact Pastor Deb for further information or to sign up.

From the Leadership Team

  • Paul Hanson has resigned from the LT, as hearing on the online meetings created a challenge.
  • The July 8 meeting was moved to Wednesday, July 15. Contact the Office if you have a question or concern for the Leadership Team to discuss.

Lori-Lee’s Gratitude

for Bible Study & Prayer Ministry

The Women’s Prayer/Bible Study has been such a blessing to my soul. Thank you, Holly Dowsing, for your thoughtful, consistent, Holy Spirit guided leadership! I really appreciate the weekly prayer requests and insights from everyone. Isn’t it hope-bringing when someone shares a prayer need and we pray, and then maybe days or weeks later, an answer to the prayer is posted? Or it becomes a long-term prayer request and we continue to lift it up! Either way, it gives us the opportunity to connect on a consistent basis with God and one another. It brings to mind Acts 2:42:

And they continued steadfastly in the apostles teaching and fellowship, in breaking of bread and prayer.

In addition to the prayer ministry, the Bible Study and all the shared insights are also ministering to me. Your take-away from Acts 11 is just one example: “How do I respond when God changes the direction of my ministry?” This is powerful and reinforces to me how God through the Holy Spirit is speaking personally to you, and each one of us, as we dive into His Living Word each week. I so look forward every week to opening the group prayer/study email. It’s like unwrapping a present from God Himself! The evidence of the Holy Spirit at work in this group is overwhelming. The variety of insights from His Word, these fill my bucket! What an incredible group of God-seeking women! It is absolutely wonderful seeing so many sharings,
